FGEN’s solar portfolio includes older vintage assets with high value subsidy tariffs. These assets provide a high proportion of RPI-linked income and our focus now is on managing the assets as they age to maintain, and where possible enhance, performance.

Our solar assets
Pylle
The Pylle Southern Solar project comprises a ground-mounted solar park near Shepton Mallet in Somerset.
The Pylle Southern park was commissioned in December 2015 and has a peak capacity of 5MW. The project benefits from a FiT generation and export tariff for all electricity produced at the park.
Management services are provided by Green Nation.
Amber
The Amber Solar project comprises two ground-mounted solar parks in the south of England. The parks are located in Five Oaks in West Sussex and Fryingdown in Hampshire.
The Five Oaks park (which commenced commercial operations in July 2012) has a peak capacity of 4.8MW and the Fryingdown park (which also commenced commercial operations in July 2012) has a peak capacity of 5MW, giving a total installed peak capacity of 9.8MW.
Branden
The Branden Solar project comprises three ground mounted solar parks near St Austell in Cornwall with a total peak capacity of 14.7MW. The Luxulyan and Treddinick parks have a peak capacity of 3.0MW and 5.8MW respectively and the Victoria park has a peak capacity of 5.9MW, giving a total installed peak capacity of 14.7MW.
The sites finished construction and started exporting electricity in March 2013, and became fully operational in June 2013. The project has accreditation at two ROCs.
CSGH Portfolio
The portfolio is comprised of four operating farms with a total generating capacity of 33.5MW that were purchased from Spower Holdings for £12.2m.
The oldest of the farms, the 4.9MWp Higher Tregarne, has been operational since March 2014 and is accredited for 1.6 ROCs.
The others; 7.5MWp Crug Mawr and 6.3 MWp Golden Hill are located in South Wales and have been operational since March 2015 and are each accredited for 1.4 ROCs.
Monksham
The Monksham Solar project is a ground mounted solar park located near Frome, Somerset. It produces revenue generated from wholesale power sales, sale of ROCs and receipt of positive Embedded Benefits under a fixed price PPA agreement.
The Monksham park was commissioned in March 2014 and has a peak capacity of 10.7MW.

Panther Solar
Panther Solar comprises a portfolio of fully operational domestic rooftop, commercial rooftop and ground mount solar installations distributed across England, Scotland and Wales. The total capacity is 6.5MW, with a total of 1,099 systems. The domestic portfolio comprises 1,033 individual systems with a total installed generating capacity of 3.4MW. The commercial portfolio consists of 66 installations totalling 3.1MW and is split between 52 ground mounted installations at farms located in the south-west of England and Wales, and 14 rooftop installations distributed across schools in England, Scotland and Wales.
All installations are accredited under the UK Feed-in-Tariff regime and receive generation tariff payments and, in the case of residential installations, export tariff systems. Commercial systems receive the PPA purchase price instead of the export tariff but in addition to the generation tariff.

Case study spotlight: Shoals Hook
The Shoals Hook project comprises a solar energy plant located in Shoals Hook Farm near Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. The plant was commissioned in March 2015 and generates electricity to be injected into the grid.
